Rico Design Origami Paper 80 gsm, 15 × 15 cm, 200 Sheets

Rico Design Origami Paper – 200 Sheets in 20 Colours for Folding

This origami paper from Rico Design (Paper Poetry Origami basic) is square folding paper measuring 15 × 15 cm, for folding animals, flowers and geometric shapes. The set contains 200 sheets of 80 gsm paper, sorted by colour into 20 colours.

Origami is the Japanese art of paper folding. The square shape is the basis for it: from a single sheet you fold two- or three-dimensional objects. With 200 sheets you have plenty of material for practising and for making several of the same model, for example for mobiles, garlands or card decorations.

Tips for clean folds

Before each fold, line the sheet up edge to edge exactly and run your fingernail or a bone folder along the crease. This is the most common source of mistakes: edges that are not lined up accurately add up over several steps, and the model ends up crooked. For beginner models such as the crane or the tulip, the 15 × 15 cm size is quite sufficient. For models with many folds or fine details, a larger sheet, for example 20 × 20 cm, is easier to fold.
