Memento Dew Drop ink pad – quick-drying dye ink for paper

The Memento Dew Drop ink pad from Artemio (manufacturer: Tsukineko) is a stamp pad with water-based dye ink for stamped impressions on paper and card, for example for cards and scrapbooking. The ink is acid-free and, according to the manufacturer, dries in 3–5 seconds on coated paper and in about 1 second on inkjet paper. Drying time depends on the paper, the material and the climate. The pad is available in several colours. Choose your colour from the options.

According to the manufacturer, the ink is highly water- and lightfast compared with ordinary dye ink. It is also alcohol-marker-friendly, so you can colour your impressions with alcohol markers. The ink can be refilled, so the pad stays usable for longer.

Which paper works?

The pad is intended for paper and paper-like materials. According to the manufacturer, the ink works on cardstock, coated and glossy absorbent paper, photo paper, inkjet paper and washi. It may run on tracing paper or vellum and is not suitable for vinyl-coated surfaces.

Colouring your impressions

Because the ink is alcohol-marker-friendly, the impression does not smudge when you colour it with alcohol markers. Let the ink dry briefly first, especially on glossy paper, so that nothing smears.

Which stamp size?

The stamping area measures 24 × 39 mm. That is enough for small and medium-sized motifs. For larger stamps you will need a larger pad.
