Prym Sewing Machine Bobbins 610362 – Clear Bobbins for Horizontal Hook Machines

Prym sewing machine bobbins (art. no. 610362) are replacement bobbins for machines with a horizontal hook that work without a separate bobbin case. They fit Janome, Brother and Singer, except machines with an Apollo hook. One pack contains 4 identical bobbins made of clear plastic.

The clear material lets you see the thread colour and how much is left at a glance, so you do not have to rewind the thread in the middle of a seam. With a horizontal hook, the thread tension is inherently low. This suits fine seams.

Does the bobbin fit your machine?

Prym offers three bobbin sizes for horizontal hooks. This bobbin has a diameter of 20.5 mm. Other sizes are available as separate items: Prym 610363 measures 21.2 mm, Prym 610364 measures 21.6 mm. For the Apollo hook there is Prym 611323. Measure your original bobbin before buying. A bobbin of the wrong size runs out of true in the hook and can disturb the thread path.

Inserting the bobbin

With horizontal hooks, you place the wound bobbin directly into the hook area under the needle plate, without a case. Then guide the thread through the slot as described in your machine's instructions. Before sewing, check the winding direction and the thread path on a test piece.
