Clover Wonder Clips – 50 colourful sewing clips instead of pins

Clover Wonder Clips (art. no. 3183) are fabric clips that replace pins when sewing, quilting and crafting. The set contains 50 clips in assorted colours. The wide opening holds several layers of fabric together. According to Clover, the clips also hold laminated fabrics, faux leather and leather without leaving pin holes.

The back of the clips is flat, so the fabric stays smooth and is easy to guide. A guide marking shows you the seam allowance in steps of 5, 7 and 10 mm. The colourful clips are easy to see and easy to find again on your sewing table.

When clips work better than pins

With vinyl, pile fabrics, faux leather and heavy fabrics, pins leave holes or distort the material. Clips hold these fabrics without piercing them. You can also use them to secure bag handles, piping and quilt binding without distortion. According to Clover, they are also suitable for overlocking.

Using the clips

Place the clips on the seam edge of the layered fabric and use the seam allowance marking as a guide. Remove each clip before the fabric goes under the presser foot. That way the needle won't hit the clip and the fabric stays neatly guided.
