Clover Wonder Clips – 50 sewing clips as an alternative to pins

Clover Wonder Clips (art. no. 3156) are fabric clips that hold layers of fabric in place for sewing and quilting without using pins. The clips have a wide opening and a strong grip. According to Clover, they also secure laminated fabrics, faux leather and leather without leaving pin holes.

The back is flat, so the fabric stays smooth and is easy to feed through. With 50 clips, you can also secure longer seams or several pieces at the same time.

Using Wonder Clips

Place the clips on the fabric layers along the seam edge, a little closer together for thick or slippery fabrics. Feed the fabric towards the presser foot and remove each clip just before it runs underneath. The scale on the base has 3 mm steps, which you can use to gauge seam allowances.

When to use clips instead of pins

With leather, faux leather and laminated fabrics, no puncture holes are left behind, and with several layers on top of each other the wide opening helps. With fine, thin fabrics, one clip per seam section is often enough.
