LAMANA PREMIA – fine lace yarn made from super kid mohair and silk

LAMANA PREMIA is a lace yarn made from 60% mohair (super kid) and 40% mulberry silk, for knitting shawls and lightweight garments, or for use as a carry-along yarn. Each ball weighs 25 g and has a length of approx. 300 m. That works out at approx. 1,200 m per 100 g, so you can plan on plenty of metres for very little weight.

The super kid mohair gives the knitted fabric a fine halo and softness, while the silk adds a soft sheen. Choose your colour from the options.

Single strand, double strand or carry-along yarn

Knitted with a single strand, it produces light, airy lace designs such as shawls or scarves in a lace pattern. Knitted with a double strand, projects look slightly denser but remain slightly sheer. As a carry-along yarn, you work PREMIA together with another yarn to add softness and a fine fluffiness to your project.

Yarn requirements and tension

For a jumper in size M (38–40), the manufacturer gives approx. 175 g, which is equivalent to 7 balls. The actual quantity depends on the pattern and how you knit, so for longer pieces it is wise to allow one extra ball. What matters is the tension given in your pattern; the figure on the ball band is only a guide.
