Prym transparent knitting elastic – worked in invisibly for better shape retention

Prym knitting elastic (art. no. 977770) gives knitted and crocheted items more support. You work it in as an invisible carry-along thread so that sleeve and waist cuffs, or whole pieces, keep their shape and do not stretch out so quickly. The reel holds 200 m of transparent elastic, so the elastic is not noticeable in the finished piece.

According to Prym, the knitting elastic is certified to OEKO-TEX® Standard 100. At 200 m long, one reel is enough for several projects.

How to work in the elastic

Pick up the knitting elastic together with your yarn and work both threads as one. For cuffs, it runs along only in that section; for pieces that need more support overall, it runs through the whole piece. As the elastic is transparent, it is hardly visible on light or dark yarns.
