Beadalon WildFire 0.15 mm in black – tear-resistant beading thread

Beadalon WildFire in black, 0.15 mm in diameter, is a synthetic braided beading thread for bead weaving, bead embroidery, loom work and bead knitting. The smooth coating is thermally bonded and so firm that a needle cannot pierce the thread. This helps when you pass through the same beads several times while weaving: the needle cannot split the thread. Choose your length from the options.

The thread is waterproof and colourfast, and the colour is rub-resistant and does not come off on your fingers. It barely stretches, and as it is thermally bonded, you do not need to pre-stretch it before use. WildFire is often used together with Miyuki beads.

Which thickness suits your beads?

At 0.15 mm and 4.5 kg tensile strength, this WildFire is the thinner version in the series. It leaves more room in the bead hole when you pass several thread layers through the same bead. The series also includes a 0.20 mm thickness with 5.5 kg tensile strength, which you choose when the bead holes are wide enough and you need more breaking strength. The colours in the series, for example beige, white and black, are each separate items. Black suits dark beads and gives light beads a clear contrast.

Threading more easily

The thread is coated and therefore firm. Before threading, flatten the tip with flat-nose pliers so that it passes more easily through the needle eye or small bead holes. Then trim the end neatly if needed.
