Prym Quilter's Finger Guard – protects the finger under your quilting

The Prym quilter's finger guard (art. no. 611333) protects the finger that sits under the work when you sew or quilt. It helps most when quilting, when you are stitching several layers together and the needle point comes out on the underside. A thimble guides the needle on the top side, so the finger guard complements it on your other hand.

The finger guard is made entirely of plastic. According to Prym, it is therefore also suitable for allergy sufferers who react to ordinary metal thimbles.

Fitting the finger guard

After a brief dip in boiling water, the plastic can be shaped to the right size. The finger guard then fits your finger properly, not just roughly.

• Dip the finger guard briefly in boiling water and lift it out with a spoon or tweezers.
• Let it cool for a moment so that you do not scald yourself.
• Shape it onto the finger you use under the work and let it cool in shape.
