Clover Non-Slip Thimble, Medium – a lightweight finger guard for sewing and patchwork

The Clover Non-Slip Thimble, Medium (art. no. 6026) protects the finger you use to push the needle through the fabric when sewing and patchworking. It is made of soft elastomer with a dimpled brass tip and has an inside diameter of 15.5 mm.

According to Clover, the thimbles in this range are 50 to 80% lighter than a metal thimble. The rubber is soft and, according to Clover, fits without feeling tight. The wavy shape lets air reach the finger, and because only a small area touches the finger, it sweats less. According to Clover, you can press down firmly on the metal tip without risk.

Which size fits?

Clover offers the non-slip thimble in three sizes: Small at 14.5 mm, Medium at 15.5 mm and Large at 17 mm inside diameter. Choose the size that sits firmly on your finger without pinching. If it feels loose, try the smaller size.

Taking it off

Fold the rubber edge back and do not pull on the metal part. This keeps the thimble in shape and lets you slip it off your finger without effort.
