Paper Piecing Templates Pointed Star – 100 Templates for Patchwork

The Templates Paper Pointed Star in 2.5 inch (approx. 6.35 cm) are paper templates for paper piecing patchwork. You fold fabric around the template, tack it in place and sew the finished pieces together by hand to make a patchwork design.

The pack contains 100 pieces. All the templates are the same size, so the pieces fit together exactly later on.

Working with paper piecing templates

Place the template on the wrong side of the fabric and cut the fabric out all round with a seam allowance of about 6 mm. Fold the allowance over the edges of the paper and tack it to both paper and fabric, folding the corners over neatly as you go. Then place two finished pieces right sides together and sew them along the edge with small whip stitches. Once all the pieces are joined, remove the tacking threads and pull out the paper.

Choosing the size

The size of 2.5 inch determines how large each piece, and therefore your design, will be. For an even result, cut all the fabric pieces with the same seam allowance and tack them in the same way.
