Clover Metal Thimble – Open-Sided and Adjustable

The Clover open-sided metal thimble protects your finger from the pressure of the needle when hand sewing, quilting and embroidering. The sides and the tip are open, so air can reach your finger. You can wear it comfortably even with long fingernails.

You adjust the fit in two places, at the top and at the bottom, to suit your finger. That way you can set it snug enough without it pinching. Choose your size from the options.

Adjusting the thimble

Put the thimble on the finger you use to push the needle and adjust it at the two adjustment points. It should fit firmly, but not pinch or cut off the circulation. Then press the end of the needle against the metal when you stitch through fabric or sew quilt layers together. Because the nail is not enclosed, you do not need to trim it.
