Clover darning needles with hook at the eye – easy threading for thick yarns
You need the Clover darning needles with latch hook at the eye (art. no. 3160) for weaving in ends, darning and sewing up knitted or crocheted pieces when your yarn is thick or multi-strand. The hook at the eye makes threading easier: you don't have to force the yarn through a narrow eye, but simply lay it in the open eye and close the hook. The pack contains 2 steel needles.
According to Clover, the needles are suitable for thick and multi-strand yarns. The hook can also help with novelty yarns that are otherwise hard to thread.
How to thread the needle
Fold the catch at the eye back, lay the yarn in the open eye and close the hook again. The yarn then sits securely, even if it would be too thick for a conventional eye.
What the needles are used for
You use them for knitting and crochet projects, mainly for these tasks:
- Weaving in ends
- Sewing together knitted or crocheted pieces
- Darning socks and other knitted items
- Creative projects with chunky yarn
Avoid overloading
Do not pull the yarn through very tight stitches by force. Too much strain on the eye can open the hook. With firm knitting, it helps to guide the needle in small steps.
