Clover Mini Iron 2 – small iron for patchwork and crafts

The Clover Mini Iron 2 is a small, light iron for all the places a normal iron cannot reach easily: seam allowances in patchwork, appliqué, fabric corners or bias binding. The small iron tip included lets you press precisely where you want to smooth. The handle sits comfortably in the hand and makes working easier.

The protective cap and the on/off switch in the handle help keep your hands safer. A built-in indicator light shows you at a glance that the appliance is switched on. This EU version has a Euro plug and runs on 220–240 V.

What you can use the mini iron for

In patchwork and quilting, you press seam allowances open or to one side without distorting the neighbouring seams. For appliqué, you shape edges and smooth small pieces. You can also press fabric corners or bias binding neatly into shape with the small tip. Besides patchwork and quilting, the appliance is also intended for sewing and various other crafts.

Which heat setting should you choose?

The iron has two heat settings: setting 1 at 260 °C and setting 2 at 170 °C. For delicate fabrics or unknown fibre content, start with the lower setting and test on a scrap of fabric first. Always put the hot iron down a safe distance from fabric and cable, switch it off at the switch in the handle after use and let it cool down before you put the protective cap on or put it away.

Keep the mini iron away from children. When first switched on, smoke may escape from the join between the steel tip and the adapter. This is not a fault; the smoke soon disappears.
