Revell Hand Drill with 3 Fine Drill Bits – precise holes in your model
With the Revell Hand Drill (art. no. 39064), you can drill precise holes in models, for example in plastic kits. Three fine drill bits of 0.7 mm, 1.0 mm and 1.3 mm are included. According to Revell, they are matched to the hole diameters commonly used by Revell, so you can drill holes for details and add-on parts in the right size. The tool is intended for model making at all scales.
As you drill by hand, you control the speed and pressure yourself. This helps with small plastic parts, because you do not heat the material with a high rotation speed and you have better control over the hole.
Drilling cleanly
Mark the spot before drilling, for example with a needle or scriber, so that the drill bit does not slip. Work without pressure and let the tool do the work.
- For larger holes, start with the thinnest drill bit (0.7 mm) and then work up step by step to 1.0 mm and 1.3 mm.
- Place the drill bit at a right angle and turn it evenly between your fingers.
- Pull the drill bit out briefly from time to time so that swarf does not jam.
- Drill before assembly, while the part is still easy to hold.
