Faber-Castell Castle felt-tip pens – 24 pens in a card box
The Faber-Castell Castle felt-tip pens (art. no. 554202) come in a card box of 24 and are intended for school, leisure time and craft sessions. According to Faber-Castell, the broad fibre tips suit large areas of colour and the thin tips suit fine lines and details. The manufacturer describes the tips as sturdy.
Washable ink
Faber-Castell labels the pens "Super Washable": the ink washes off skin and hands with soap and out of most textiles at 30 °C. That comes in handy when a bit lands on a sleeve or the table while you are colouring.
Colouring with the Castle felt-tip pens
For large areas, hold the broad tip flat and colour in even strokes in one direction for a more uniform finish. Use the thin tips for outlines, patterns and lettering. Do not press too hard, as even a sturdy fibre tip can become pressed in over time under heavy pressure. On thin paper, felt-tip ink can show through, so place a sheet underneath or use slightly thicker paper.
Practical tip: Put the cap back on the pens after use so that they do not dry out.
