Rico Design Letter Beads in Pastel – Thread Names and Messages

Rico Design letter beads are round plastic beads printed with letters. You can thread names, words and short messages onto bracelets and necklaces. The set contains approx. 165 beads in assorted pastel colours, each approx. 7 × 4 mm with a hole.

According to Rico Design, the beads are intended for bracelets, necklaces and similar jewellery. As letters and colours are mixed, they are best suited to names, initials and short words in a colourful pastel look.

Threading a word

First lay the word out on a surface and check that the set contains all the letters you need, especially for letters that appear more than once. Elastic cord works well for bracelets: thread on the beads, tie a double knot and gently pull it in between two beads. For necklaces, use tear-resistant jewellery cord or nylon thread and attach a clasp. You can place other beads between the letters to make the word easier to read.

Note on dummy chains

Rico Design lists dummy chains as a use. Dummy chains for babies are subject to their own safety requirements. You should therefore not make finished chains for babies using these beads alone.
