Botz 9369 Primelrosa Liquid Glaze – Glossy, Opaque Pink for Earthenware

Botz 9369 Primelrosa liquid glaze is a ready-to-use glaze for earthenware in a strong, opaque and glossy pink. You apply it with a brush to bisque-fired ceramics. It melts very smoothly and does not tend to run, even at 1100 °C. You also get very good results on coloured clays.

The glaze is stable in the firing range of 1020–1060 °C and can be fired up to 1100 °C. It is also suitable for raku.

Applying the glaze

The glaze comes ready to use in the pot. Stir it thoroughly before applying, as the colour pigments settle. If it is too thick, thin it with a little water as needed. The piece must have been bisque-fired beforehand at 950 °C minimum.

• Stir the glaze well and thin with water if needed
• Apply to the bisque-fired ceramics with a brush
• Leave to dry thoroughly
• If needed, apply another coat and leave to dry again

Firing and result

Fire Primelrosa in the range of 1020–1060 °C, where the glaze is stable. Firing up to 1100 °C is possible without the glaze running. Wipe the base clean before firing so that the piece does not stick to the kiln shelf. A test piece on your own clay will show you beforehand how the colour turns out for you.

Primelrosa is one of the ten colours of Botz liquid glazes for earthenware. All of them have the same firing range of 1020–1060 °C. You can therefore fire the colours in the same kiln load.
