YKK CHC-26 invisible zip – 40 cm, closed-end

The YKK CHC-26 invisible zip in 40 cm is intended for skirts, dresses, trousers and cushions where only the seam should show, not the zip. Once sewn in, it is almost invisible on the right side of the fabric. The chain is a plastic coil. The zip is closed-end, which means it opens on one side only and does not separate completely. It is therefore not suitable for jackets that need to open fully. Choose your colour from the options.

How to sew in the zip

An invisible zip is normally sewn in before you close the seam below it. With an invisible zip foot, the coil runs in the groove and you sew right alongside the chain. Secure the zip with pins or clips so that it does not slip. Choose the length to suit the opening: 40 cm is suitable, for example, for longer skirt vents or dress backs. For shorter openings, the zip is also available in 22 cm.
