Prym fur hooks and eyes in brown – discreet fastener for fur and faux fur

The brown fur hooks and eyes from Prym are sew-on hook and eye fasteners for fur and faux fur. They are covered in polyester thread, which gives them a discreet, refined look. In industry, fasteners like these are often used when making real fur garments. The pack contains 3 pieces. The fastener is also available in black, grey and beige. The hooks and eyes are each approx. 25 mm long and have side loops. You can sew them straight onto a coat, jacket or waistcoat through these loops.

Sewing on hooks and eyes

Place the hook on one edge and the eye on the opposite edge, so that the two meet exactly when the garment is closed. Mark the positions beforehand with pins and fasten the hook and eye once as a test. Then sew the side loops on from the back with a needle and strong thread. This keeps the stitches invisible on the fur side. Choose a thread colour to match the fastener or the fabric.
