The Meyco knitting and wool needle set contains 53 pieces made of flexible plastic: curved and straight cable needles, for example for cable patterns, plus clips and stitch markers for marking your work. It keeps the small knitting accessories that many patterns call for all in one place.

The needles come in four shapes: 4 curved U-shaped needles, 3 curved needles and 3 straight needles each in 7 cm and 9 cm lengths. For marking, there are 20 clips and 20 stitch markers, 10 each in S and L. Two sizes let you choose a ring to suit your needle and yarn size.

Using the pieces

A cable needle holds a few stitches temporarily at the front or back of the work while you knit the next stitches. You then knit the held stitches from the cable needle, and the cable forms. You can also use the needles to hold stitches, for example at necklines or pockets.

• Slip the stitch markers onto the knitting needle between two stitches, for example at the start of a round or between pattern repeats.
• Use the clips to mark a row or stitch directly in the fabric, for example for increases or for counting rows.
• Choose the ring size that slides easily over your knitting needle so that it does not catch while you knit.
