Canson XL Portfolio Folder – Sturdy Protection for Drawings and Sketches
The Canson XL portfolio folder is a sturdy folder for storing and carrying sketches, studies and finished drawings. It is intended mainly for school pupils and art students and is made of sturdy board. The elastic bands close it securely, even in a full rucksack.
Inside is white, acid-free paper, which is meant to protect your work from yellowing while it is stored. The folder is FSC®-certified.
Choosing the size and design
The folder comes in three sizes. Choose the size from the options. Go by the largest sheet you want to keep in it and allow a little extra room so the edges do not get crushed. The folders are supplied in two assorted designs, so you cannot choose a specific pattern. You can state a design preference when ordering, but it is not guaranteed.
Storing and carrying
Lay the sheets flat in the folder and close it with the elastic bands. Freshly painted or drawn work needs a separating sheet between the pages, such as glassine, so that nothing smudges or transfers. Pencil and charcoal drawings are better protected with fixative or an interleaving sheet.
