Rayher Grass natural sponge set, 5 sponges, 3.5–5 cm

Rayher Grass natural sponge set – 5 sponges for dabbing and applying paint

The Rayher Grass natural sponge set contains 5 different natural sponges measuring 3.5 to 5.0 cm. You can use them to apply, dab or spread paint. The sponges are very absorbent and, according to Rayher, have an attractive, even growth. You can also use them for cleaning.

As the sponges are shaped differently, you get a choice of several sizes and surfaces. This means you can use different sponges depending on the area and the texture you want.

Working with a natural sponge

Wet the sponge first and squeeze it out, and it will take up the paint more evenly. Dip it only lightly into the paint, which you can thin with water if needed, and dab it on rather than brushing. This creates soft backgrounds, colour gradients and textures. With tone-on-tone colours, the transitions look especially soft. A little paint on the sponge can be built up in several layers. Too much paint at once quickly runs into blotches. Rinse the sponge out thoroughly after painting.

Which size to choose

The smaller sponges in this set, measuring 3.5 to 5.0 cm, suit smaller areas and details. For larger areas, the same set is available with 3 sponges measuring 6–7.5 cm.
