Efco moulding felt 30 × 45 cm – felt sheet for shape-holding 3D projects
Efco moulding felt for decorations is a felt sheet measuring 30 × 45 cm, which you can shape into three-dimensional objects such as figures, craft animals, bowls or decorative elements. Unlike ordinary craft felt, it keeps the shape you give it.
The sheet is made of 70% viscose and 30% wool and is approx. 1.8 mm thick. The size suits medium-sized projects; for larger objects, join several sheets together. Choose your colour from the options.
How to mould the felt
Cut out the pieces you need and dampen the felt. Then lay it over an object, for example a bowl or a hat block, press it into shape and leave it to dry in that shape. Afterwards it holds its form. First make a test piece from an offcut to find the right level of dampness: felt that is too wet is harder to keep in shape, while felt that is too dry is difficult to bend.
