Schmincke HORADAM Watercolour Wooden Box, 48 Half Pans

Schmincke HORADAM watercolour wooden box with 48 half pans and porcelain mixing palette

The Schmincke wooden box is a watercolour paint set with 48 half pans of HORADAM watercolour and a porcelain mixing palette. It gives you a wide range of colours in one box, and you can mix many shades directly.

Schmincke makes HORADAM watercolour paint with high-concentration quality pigments, and it differs clearly from the AKADEMIE range. The box measures 208 × 160 × 47 mm and is made of wood.

Working with the watercolour box

Before painting, moisten the paint in the pan with a few drops of water and let it soften briefly. Then pick up the colour with a wet brush. Mixing is done on the porcelain mixing palette: porcelain does not absorb paint and wipes clean easily after painting. Let the pans dry before closing the box so that paint does not stick to the lid or palette.

Who is the wooden box for?

With 48 pans, you can paint many subjects using only the colours included, such as landscapes, portraits or botanical studies. The HORADAM range also includes metal boxes with 12, 24 or 36 half pans, as well as tubes. The wooden box with 48 pans is the one to choose if you want the largest colour range in a single box.
