Pipe Cleaners 6 mm – 100 Pieces in Mixed Colours for Crafting

These pipe cleaners (chenille stems) with a diameter of 6 mm have a bendy wire core with a soft synthetic covering. You get 100 pieces in a colourful mix, and each stem is approx. 50 cm long. You can shape them into animals, figures, flowers or seasonal decorations.

The 50 cm length is enough for larger figures and long stems, and with 100 pieces you have enough material for several projects or a whole craft group at school or nursery.

Working with pipe cleaners

Pipe cleaners can be bent, twisted and wound into spirals without any tools if you wrap them around a pencil or a round stick. For arms, legs or antennae, twist two stems together or wind one stem around another. To shorten them, use wire cutters or a pair of scissors you no longer need for paper, as the wire core blunts the blades. After cutting, bend the ends of the wire over so they do not poke.

Which thickness to choose

6 mm is a medium diameter: thick enough for clearly visible figures and flower stems, yet still easy to bend. For sturdier shapes, the chenille wire is also available in 8, 14 and 20 mm diameters.
