Chenille stems are easy to bend, shape and join. The floral wires support the stems, while the tape covers the wire and gives a green finish. The kit is intended for children and adults; children should only craft under supervision.

Making a flower

Form a flower head from several chenille stems, for example by bending them into loops and twisting them together in the middle. The different shades of yellow give the flowers more depth. Attach the flower head to a floral wire, either by wrapping it or with a dab of hot glue. Use only a little glue so the soft chenille does not stick together. To shorten the floral wire and chenille stems, you will need side cutters or combination pliers.

Covering the stem with floral tape

Start just below the flower head, stretch the tape slightly and wind it diagonally down the wire. This way it lies smooth and the stem looks evenly green. If you make several flowers, you can cut the stems to different lengths and gather them into a bouquet. This kit is also available in purple.
