Rayher scrapbooking paper, metal effect – double-sided brushed black and gold

Rayher's metal effect scrapbooking paper is a double-sided craft paper in black and gold, measuring 30.5 × 30.5 cm. According to Rayher, it looks and feels like brushed metal and has a reflective effect. You can use it for scrapbooking, cards, albums, picture frames, calendars or tins.

At 250 g/m², the paper is much heavier than ordinary printer paper. Small elements such as titles, frames or die-cut shapes therefore keep their form.

Black or gold: which side will you use?

One side is black, the other is brushed gold. This lets you decide while designing whether the gold should stand out as an accent or the black background should create a calmer look. For cards and invitations, you can fold the paper along the edge and leave both sides visible, for example on a card flap or an insert.

Working with the paper

Cut the paper to size with scissors, a craft knife or a paper trimmer. When gluing, it is worth testing on a scrap piece first, because glue may hold differently or show on the metallic-looking surface. Avoid fingerprints on the gold by handling the paper by the edges.
