Origami is the Japanese art of paper folding. Square sheets are folded into two- or three-dimensional objects, for example animals or geometric figures. 15 × 15 cm is a common size for many standard models. 20 sheets are enough to practise one model several times or to fold several different figures.

Tips for crisp folds

Fold on a smooth, flat surface and run your fingernail or a bone folder along each fold. At 80 g/m², the paper creases well without becoming too stiff. Before the first fold, line the sheet up exactly edge to edge, as even small deviations add up in models with many steps. For more complex figures, it is best to practise first with a sheet you will not need for the finished model.
