Prym Aluminium Straight Knitting Needles, 40 cm – for Knitting in Rows
Prym aluminium straight knitting needles are 40 cm long. You can use them to knit cardigans, jumpers, scarves and other larger pieces in rows, working back and forth. One card contains 2 needles, i.e. one pair. Choose your needle size from the options.
According to Prym, the shaft has a non-porous, abrasion-resistant surface over which the stitches glide evenly. The finely rounded tips are designed to stop the yarn from splitting. A colour code on the head shows the needle size, so you can find the right needle in your needle basket more quickly.
What 40 cm needles are suited to
Straight needles with a length of 40 cm offer enough room for the stitches of larger pieces such as cardigan fronts, jumpers or wide scarves. Prym offers the series in lengths from 25 to 40 cm. Shorter needles are easier to handle for small pieces such as hat brims or narrow strips; for wide pieces of knitting, choose the 40 cm length.
Needle size and yarn
The size you need is given in your pattern or on the ball band of your yarn. What matters is the tension given in your pattern; the figure on the ball band is only a guide. The colour code on the head helps you tell several needles apart in the basket.
