LYKKE GROVE Interchangeable Needle Set – Bamboo Tips in 9 Sizes

The LYKKE GROVE circular knitting needle set is an interchangeable needle set with bamboo tips in nine sizes from 3.25 to 6.5 mm (US 3 to US 10.5). You combine tips and cables to suit your project, instead of buying a separate needle for every size and length. Everything comes in a case in GROVE green.

The tips are 3.5 inches (8.9 cm) long. Sizes are given in both US and metric. Wood has more grip than smooth metal, so the stitches are less likely to slide off the needle.

Assembling your needle

First choose the needle size from your pattern or your tension swatch. Screw one tip onto each end of a cable and tighten the join with the key, without forcing it. Run a finger over the join to check that the transition between tip and cable is smooth, otherwise the yarn will catch there. Put the stoppers on the cable ends when you pause a project: this stops the stitches slipping off the cable.

Which cable for which project?

A short cable suits work with a small circumference, such as hat brims or sleeves. For larger circumferences, use the longer cable; for scarves, blankets or jumpers, extend it with a connector. Whether the cable length suits your project depends on the number of stitches. What matters is the tension given in your pattern.
