LYKKE Cypra interchangeable circular knitting needle set 5 inch – copper needles in a brown case
The LYKKE Cypra interchangeable circular needle set with 5-inch tips (12.7 cm) consists of interchangeable copper needles, cables and accessories for jumpers, shawls, hats and other knitting projects. The needle tips are made of 100% copper, are uncoated and develop a natural patina over time. If you want to keep the bright copper shine, you can polish them. It is the case that is brown, not the needles: it is made of vegan faux leather with a suede look.
The set contains 12 pairs of needles from 3.25 to 10 mm (US 3 to US 15). Both the US and metric sizes are engraved on the needles, so you can see the needle size your pattern calls for straight from the needle. With five cables in three lengths, you can adapt the set to the number of stitches and the project.
Using the set
Screw the two needle tips in the size you want onto a cable and tighten the join firmly with the cable key. If it is not tight, it can come loose while you knit. The cable lengths include the needle tips: choose the cable according to the circumference of your work so that the stitches sit loosely on the cable. For larger circumferences, you can lengthen cables with a connector. The stoppers close off the cable ends when you pause a project and want the stitches to stay on the cable. When you swap tips between projects, you therefore need no additional circular needles.
Copper and care
Copper is uncoated and changes over time: the surface develops an individual patina. If you prefer your needles bright and shiny, polish them from time to time. Keep needles, cables and accessories together in the case, so everything is to hand when you start your next project.
