Beech wooden dowel rods – Ø 3 mm, 300 mm long, bundle of 100

These beech wooden dowel rods have a diameter of approx. 3.0 mm and are 300 mm long. You get 100 in a bundle for craft projects, model making, decorations and DIY. The rods are smooth and can be sharpened, glued and painted.

The large quantity helps when you need lots of parts of the same length, for example for frames, fences, little flags or supports. At 300 mm long, the rods can be cut down to the size of your project.

Working with the rods

A pencil sharpener is enough for sharpening. To shorten the rods, use a fine saw and lightly sand the cut edge so that nothing splinters. For firm joints, drill a hole in the mating piece to suit the rod and glue the rod into it. This holds better than a butt joint, where only the thin end face is glued. As the diameter is approximate, it is best to test the fit on an offcut. You can paint the rods with wood paints, either before or after you assemble them.
