Städter Alphabet Cookie Cutter Set – Letters for Biscuits and Modelling Clay

With the Städter alphabet set, you can cut letters from biscuit dough, fondant, marzipan or modelling clay. The set consists of 28 plastic (polypropylene) cutters, each shape measuring 2.5 cm. You can spell out names, words or messages in biscuits, sugarpaste or clay.

According to the manufacturer, the material is sturdy and well suited to children's hands. The cutters are food-safe and dishwasher safe. A recipe is included in the set.

Cutting clean letters

Roll out the dough evenly and dip the cutter briefly in flour so the dough does not stick in the shape. Press straight down and carefully release the letter. Modelling clay is handled in the same way; the clay should not be too thick. As the letters are only 2.5 cm in size, leave a little space between them on the baking tray. After baking, you can decorate them with food colouring pens, icing, chocolate or sugar pearls, according to the manufacturer.

Cleaning

It is best to clean the cutters straight after use and rinse them under running warm water so no dough residue sticks. Alternatively, you can put them in the dishwasher. If you have used the shapes to cut modelling clay or wax, do not use them for food afterwards.
