The Clover Flower Loom (art. no. 3146, Hana-Ami Flower Loom) is a loom set for weaving flower motifs from wool, yarn, ribbon or raffia. You place a frame on the base and weave the thread in with the pin.

The flowers vary widely depending on the combination of frame shape, yarn and weaving style. Put together, they make cushions, borders or bags. With six frames in four shapes and sizes from 40 to 83 mm, you have several options to choose from.

How a flower is made

You set one of the frames on the loom base and weave the thread in with the pin. You decide how dense or loose the flower is and which colours to combine. The tapestry needle supplied helps you sew in the thread ends. Several finished flowers can be joined together to make cushions, borders or bags.

Which frame for which use?

The small frames (square 40 mm, round 43 mm) make small flowers, for example for borders or as an accent on a bag. The large frames (square 82 mm, round 83 mm, hexagon 72 mm) give flowers that also work as a single motif on a cushion. The 57 mm frame sits in between.

Choosing yarn and weaving style

Thicker yarn fills the frame faster and gives bold flowers, while fine yarn looks more delicate. Ribbon and raffia give the flower a different texture from wool. Try out different combinations on one frame before weaving several identical flowers for a larger project.
