Pebaro Children's Weaving Loom 17 cm – Lime Wood Loom with Accessories
The Pebaro children's weaving loom (art. no. WEB0118) is a loom made of untreated lime wood with an approx. 17 cm weaving width. You can use it to try out weaving and make small woven pieces such as bands, bookmarks or coasters.
The accessories are included: a beech shuttle, a comb, two metal rods and instructions. All you need is yarn and you can get started. The loom is supplied in a bag, which makes it easier to store and take with you, for example to craft lessons.
Weaving on the loom
The instructions supplied show you the set-up step by step. Basically, you first stretch the warp threads over the frame; they determine the width of your woven piece, up to approx. 17 cm. Then you pass the weft thread with the shuttle alternately over and under the warp threads. Use the comb to push each row firmly against the previous one so that the fabric becomes evenly dense. A common beginner's mistake is pulling the weft thread too tight, which makes the piece draw in at the edges. Instead, lay the thread in loosely in a gentle curve and then beat it down with the comb.
Which size to choose
With a 17 cm weaving width, this loom is the compact version for first small projects that are finished quickly. Pebaro also offers school weaving looms in weaving widths of 20, 25, 30 and 40 cm. For larger pieces such as seat cushions or wall hangings, choose a wider loom.
