Clover Pom-Pom Maker Extra Large – make pompoms of approx. 115 mm

With the Clover Pom-Pom Maker Extra Large (art. no. 3128), you can make yarn pompoms without cutting out cardboard discs. According to the manufacturer, the finished pompom has a diameter of approx. 115 mm, which suits bold accents on hats, blankets, cushions or as decoration.

There is a measuring scale on the arm. It makes multicoloured pompoms easier to make. Instructions for use are printed on the back of the packaging.

Making a pompom

The steps, as given by the manufacturer, at a glance. Wind the yarn so that the middle part of the inner arm stays slightly visible.

• Align the arms.
• Wind the yarn firmly and evenly from one end to the other, then close the arm and repeat on the other arm.
• Cut the yarn at the gap between the arms without opening the arms.
• Tie tightly with sewing thread or yarn using a double knot.
• Carefully open the arms one after the other.
• Remove the pompom, fluff it into shape and trim any protruding ends with scissors.

Choosing the size

Extra Large is the choice for bold, voluminous pompoms of approx. 115 mm in diameter. The firm double knot holds the pompom together, so the tying yarn should be tear-resistant. When making multicoloured pompoms, use the measuring scale on the arm to divide the yarn layers evenly.
