Prym Iron-On Denim Repair Fabric – patch for mending jeans

Prym iron-on denim repair fabric in mid blue (art. no. 929553) is a 100% cotton patch for mending worn or damaged areas on jeans and other cotton fabrics. The adhesive coating covers the whole patch, so it bonds across the entire surface when ironed on, not just at the edges.

The fabric measures 12 × 45 cm. You can cut several patches to size from it, for example for knees, pocket edges or tears in the crotch. It is washable at 40 °C.

Applying the patch

Iron the damaged area flat first and trim any loose threads. Cut the patch so that it covers the hole all the way round, and round off the corners so they are less likely to lift when worn and washed. Place it adhesive side down on the area and iron it on firmly.

For areas under heavy wear

Patches on knees or elbows are under particular strain. Here you should also stitch the patch down at a few points so that it lasts.
