Plaster Egg Mould – Three Eggs in Three Sizes

With this 2-piece plaster egg mould, you can cast eggs in three sizes: 48 × 35 mm, 55 × 40 mm and 61 × 45 mm. It is useful for Easter decorations, ceramic projects and crafts when you need eggs in several sizes, for example for a garland or a floral arrangement.

Moulding plaster draws moisture out of the material poured in. This helps the piece firm up against the mould wall and makes it easier to remove once it has set. The mould is made in Germany.

Working with the plaster mould

Fit both halves of the mould together precisely and secure them so that no material escapes at the seam. Pour in the casting compound and leave it to set in the mould. Open the mould only when the piece is stable enough, and separate the halves carefully. Trim any residue at the seam once the piece has dried slightly.

Caring for the mould

Moulding plaster is absorbent, so after casting leave the mould to dry out completely before using it again or putting it away. Store it in a dry place. Once a mould has been used with plaster or casting compounds, do not use it for food again.
