Rayher silicone vase mould, U-shape – ribbed vases in concrete and casting resin

With the Rayher silicone vase mould, U-shape, ribbed, you can cast small vases with a ribbed surface in creative concrete, Raysin or casting resin. According to Rayher, the silicone is extremely elastic and keeps its shape, so the dry vase comes out of the mould easily.

The mould measures 8.5 × 3.8 × 10 cm (length × width × height) and makes a slim, compact vase. Two acrylic test tubes (ø 2 cm, length 12 cm) are included.

Casting the vase

Rinse the mould with water before first use. According to Rayher, you do not need a release agent such as oil. Mix the casting compound as directed on the pack and pour it into the mould. For one vase, allow approx. 300 g of creative concrete or approx. 250 g of Raysin 200. Stand the mould on a level surface so the vase sets straight. Only demould once the compound is completely dry, and the piece will come out easily.

Use and care

The finished vase can be used as a taper candle holder or for dried and fresh flowers. For fresh flowers, insert the test tube. Afterwards, clean the mould with water and a little washing-up liquid; this keeps it in shape and means you can reuse it many times. Once you have used a mould for concrete or casting resin, do not use it for food again.
