Rayher silicone mould, finely ribbed vase – for vases and candle holders

The finely ribbed vase silicone mould by Rayher (art. no. 36153000) turns creative concrete, Raysin or casting resin into a small vase with fine ribbing. You can use it as a taper candle holder or decorate it with dried or fresh flowers. The vase has a base Ø of 8.3 cm and is 9.5 cm high. An acrylic test tube is included with the mould.

According to Rayher, the silicone is extremely flexible, keeps its shape and is resistant to frost and heat (-40 °C to 240 °C). Because the mould stretches, you can easily release the dried piece and the fine ribbing is preserved. You can use the mould again and again.

Casting the vase

Rinse the mould with water before first use. According to Rayher, you do not need an additional release agent such as oil. Mix the casting compound following the instructions on the pack and pour it into the mould. Allow it to harden or dry completely before demoulding. To demould, stretch the silicone slightly and the vase will come away by itself.

Which casting compound and how much?

Rayher gives the quantity needed as approx. 450 g for creative concrete and creative concrete 5in1, and approx. 400 g for Raysin 200. This lets you roughly plan the amount before mixing. Casting resin is also suitable.

Care and note

Clean the mould with water and a little washing-up liquid; this keeps it in shape and reusable. Once you have used a mould for casting compounds, do not use it for food afterwards.
