HobbyFun silicone mould, ribbed vase – cast your own mini vases

With the HobbyFun silicone vase mould, you can cast small, modern ribbed vases yourself. The vase measures approx. 6.7 x 3.7 x 9.2 cm. The mould is suitable for plaster, concrete, resin or ceramic casting compound.

The silicone is flexible, so the hardened vase is easy to remove from the mould. The surface turns out smooth, and you can use the mould several times. With a capacity of approx. 470 g, you can estimate the amount of casting compound in advance.

Casting the vase

Mix the casting compound according to the manufacturer's instructions and pour it slowly into the mould. Then tap the mould lightly on the work surface so that air bubbles rise to the top. Do not demould until the compound has set completely: gently stretch the silicone and ease the vase out gradually rather than pulling it out. This keeps the ribs sharp.

Finishing and using

You can paint the finished vases and combine them with dried flowers, taper candles or test tubes. Plaster and concrete are not waterproof, so use them for dried flowers, or add an insert to hold water. After demoulding, clean the silicone mould with water and a little washing-up liquid. Once you have used a mould for plaster, concrete or resin, do not use it for food again.
