Prym iron-on cotton repair fabric for tears and holes

With Prym repair fabric you can mend tears and holes in clothing made of medium-weight cotton. The fabric has an adhesive coating over the whole surface and is applied with an iron. This means it bonds across the entire area and not just at the edges. The card holds one piece measuring 12 × 45 cm. You can cut patches from it in whichever size you need. The repair fabric is available in a wide range of colours. Choose your colour from the options. It is washable up to 40 °C.

Applying the patch

Cut the patch so that it covers the hole all the way round, and round off the corners so the edges are less likely to lift. Iron it onto the damaged area with the coated side down until the adhesive has bonded over the whole surface, and let it cool before moving the fabric. On areas that are subject to heavy wear, such as knees and elbows, you should also stitch the patch on at a few points. This way it holds even with a lot of movement.
