Prym Denim Patch Fabric in Black – Iron-On Repair for Jeans

Prym denim patch fabric in black (art. no. 929552) is used to mend worn areas on jeans and clothing made from heavy cotton fabrics. The full-surface adhesive coating is ironed on and gives the patch a firm hold on the fabric.

The card holds 1 piece of cotton fabric measuring 12 × 45 cm. You cut the patch from the strip to the size you need. Prym offers the patch fabric in several colours; this item is black.

Applying the patch

Cut the patch so that it overlaps the hole or thin area all the way round, and round off the corners so they are less likely to lift. Place it adhesive side down on the inside of the trousers, smooth the area and iron the patch on firmly until the adhesive bonds evenly. Let the fabric cool before wearing.

Extra stitching on knees and elbows

Areas at the knee or elbow are under particularly heavy strain. Sew the patch on there as well, either in a few spots or around the edge, so that it holds even after frequent wear and washing.
