Prym cotton iron-on repair patches – 4 dark patches

With Prym iron-on repair patches you can mend holes and tears in clothing made from medium-weight cotton fabrics. The set contains 4 cotton patches, each 7 × 14 cm, in dark shades (black, denim grey, dark blue). They blend in discreetly on dark clothing.

According to Prym, the adhesive coating over the entire surface gives a firm hold. You iron the patches on without having to sew them on first. Once ironed on, they are easy to care for and washable up to 40 °C.

Applying the patch

Choose a shade that matches your garment. Dark patches are best suited to trousers, jeans or jackets in dark colours. Lay the garment flat on a firm ironing surface, place the patch over the damaged area and iron it on with the adhesive side facing the fabric. The adhesive coating covers the whole surface, so the patch also sticks well at the edges.

When to add stitching

On areas that are under heavy strain, such as elbows and knees, Prym recommends sewing the patch on at a few points after ironing. This way the repair also holds up with frequent movement.
