URSUS Transparent Paper 70 x 100 cm – 25 Sheets of Kite Paper for Lanterns and Window Pictures
URSUS transparent paper (kite paper) comes in a large pack of 25 sheets measuring 70 x 100 cm. It suits lanterns, window pictures and other craft projects where light is meant to shine through the paper. The paper is coloured throughout, has a weight of 42 g/m² and is folded once. Choose your colour from the options.
The 25 sheets add up to approx. 17.5 m². That makes it easy to plan for a group, for example a school class or a lantern parade. Folded, one sheet measures about 70 x 50 cm.
Making a lantern
Draw the lantern piece on the paper and cut it out with sharp scissors. The paper is not self-adhesive, so you will need glue. Apply it sparingly and only along the edge: too much glue makes the thin paper wrinkle and shows up later in the light. Several layers in different colours create colour gradients where they overlap. Paper is flammable, so put an LED light in the finished lantern instead of a naked flame.
