Rico Design monk's cloth in rosé – soft cotton fabric for punch needle

The rosé monk's cloth from Rico Design is a cotton fabric for punch needle projects. It has a loose weave, a panama (basket) weave and an extra soft feel. At 4.6 stitches per cm, you can easily judge the density and the yarn thickness.

The piece measures 50 × 140 cm. That is enough for projects such as wall hangings, cushions or bags. When planning the size of your design, allow a margin for the frame.

Preparing the fabric

Stretch the monk's cloth taut in a frame so that it does not give way as you punch and the loops come out even. The loose weave can fray at the cut edges. Secure the edge beforehand, for example with zigzag stitch or masking tape. Draw your design onto the fabric with a fabric pen before putting it in the frame.
