The Pocket Color Wheel from Color Wheel Company is a rotating colour wheel in pocket size. You can use it to learn colour mixing and colour theory and to find suitable colour combinations for your projects. It suits artists, crafters and beginners.

What do the two sides show?

On the mixing side, the inner wheel shows which colour results when you mix the primary colours with each other, or white or black with a starting colour from the outer wheel. This shows you how to lighten or darken a shade. The reverse side shows, in a larger wheel, the relationships between the colour families, including analogous colours and complementary colours as well as tints, tones and shades.

Using the colour wheel

Turn the wheel until the starting colour you want appears in the window, and read off the mixing results. For a harmonious colour scheme, look on the harmony side for the neighbouring analogous colours or the complementary colour. The grey scale helps you judge differences in lightness.
