Staedtler Pigment Liner 308 WP4 Fineliners, Set of 4

Staedtler Pigment Liner 308 WP4 – 4 black fineliners in four line widths

The Staedtler Pigment Liner 308 WP4 is a set of four black fineliners for writing, sketching and drawing. It contains one pen each with a line width of 0.1, 0.3, 0.5 and 0.7 mm, so you have fine details and bolder outlines in one box.

The pigment ink is indelible, lightfast and waterproof on paper. Drawings and notes therefore stay intact even in light and damp conditions. The ink does not smear when you go over it with a highlighter. According to Staedtler, the PP barrel ensures a long service life.

Choosing the line width

Use 0.1 mm for the finest details and tight hatching; 0.3 and 0.5 mm suit outlines, sketches and lettering. Use 0.7 mm for bold lines. You can guide the long metal tip along stencils from 0.1 mm and along rulers from 0.2 mm, for example the Staedtler Mars 572 FL. So for a ruler, use the 0.3, 0.5 or 0.7 mm pens, and use the 0.1 mm pen with stencils.

Everyday use

With CAP OFF, you can leave the pens without their caps for at least 12 hours without the black ink drying out. The automatic pressure equalisation stops a pen leaking on board aircraft. On drawing paper the black ink can be erased; on other paper, test this first on an inconspicuous spot. If you want to work over the lines with watercolour, let the ink dry first.
