Rayher Papillon Seed Beads 2 × 4 mm – Butterfly-Shaped Glass Beads

Rayher Papillon seed beads are butterfly-shaped glass beads (Farfalle seed beads) measuring 2 × 4 mm. You thread them into necklaces, bracelets, earrings or hair accessories. One tub contains 18 g. Choose your colour from the options.

The irregular shape refracts the light in a distinctive way and creates reflections that smooth, round seed beads do not show. According to Rayher, the beads are suitable for unusual jewellery, and depending on the colour they have additional effects.

Showing off the butterfly shape

Thread the beads close together, as this is the only way the distinctive look of the shape comes into its own. If there are large gaps between the beads, the effect is lost. Choose a thread or wire that passes easily through the hole, and test it on one bead before starting a longer strand of jewellery.

Which size to choose

At 2 × 4 mm, these beads are the finer version of the Papillon seed beads and suit delicate jewellery such as slim bracelets or earrings. For a more eye-catching effect, the series is also available in 3.2 × 6.5 mm. Both sizes also come in tubs of 18 g, so the larger beads give fewer pieces per tub.
